About Me

A Personal Snapshot

General assignment staff reporter for The Eagle-Tribune newspaper. Boston University summa cum laude graduate with a dual degree in journalism and psychology. A native of a small town in central-upstate New York, drawn to New England living and an avid Patriots fan. Writing, music, traveling and the entertainment industry are my passions.

My first foray into journalism was in seventh grade through the Student Voices Op-Ed section of my local newspaper. As I continued to write, the feedback was astounding and I had found both my calling and my career.

I work in the North Andover, Massachusetts bureau of The Eagle-Tribune, a two-state daily newspaper that covers the Merrimack Valley (north of Boston) and southern New Hampshire. I primarily cover the cities of Lawrence and Methuen, and am the lead beat reporter for Methuen. I previously worked for GateHouse Media New England, where I covered four towns for daily online stories and weekly print publications. I have also contributed to one of the company's daily newspapers, The Patriot Ledger, which I previously interned for. I do general assignment multimedia reporting, including local government, schools, community news, breaking news and features. I've also spent a lot of time covering education issues and the opioid epidemic. Through my positions with this company I've really been able to hit the ground running and build a broad range of skills.

About the Website

I generally produce five to 10 stories a week for The Eagle-Tribune, nearly all of which are available online. Prior to that I wrote six to 14 stories a week for GateHouse and spent my college career building up my professional journalism experience through internships and freelance opportunities. This website serves as a home for my published works, including hundreds of articles in professional publications, as well as photographs, videos and work from my Boston University journalism activities.

Web Design
This website was originally made for the Introduction to Internet Technologies class offered as part of the computer science department at Boston University. Through this class I learned HTML, CSS, and PHP coding, as well as how to manipulate WordPress websites and a refresher of basic Adobe Photoshop skills. Content and additional coding, including use of websites such as Issuu and Scribd, were for an Online Journalism multimedia class through the journalism department at Boston University.
